Week 12--Hong Kong

 你好大家!今個星期係好!

星期二: District council! My DL started this new challenge for us. At the end of each day we put in how long we SLYed for and by the end of the week we get prizes. Later that night my comp and I went to the Wan Chai chapel to practice for zone conference. The Sister playing piano for me ended up showing us around and took us up to the top floor where the area 70 and area President live! We got to meet the area President which was so cool! 

星期三: Zone conference day! I was able to sing at zone conference which was so fun, and the trainings were amazing. 

星期四: Today we had a member lesson with 鐘姊妹. I was able to practice teaching in Cantonese and she shared about her conversion story. The spirit was so strong and she is such an amazing member! Later that day we walked around TKO (my area) and studied in the most beautiful park waiting for a lesson with our friend Indi! Once we met with Indi we started teaching her and she described that she doesn't want to be baptized, she said she believes in God and that's all she needs. And although thats good, we want to share the blessings of baptism with her! 

星期五: I LOVE finding. And today we had about 3 hours of finding! So we went out finding and stopped everyone we pasted by asking, "what brings you joy in your life?". In Hong Kong its pretty normal for you to go up to someone, talk to them, and they just pretend you're not there. And thats what happened probably 90% of the time. Feeling discouraged Sister Hawes and I take a break and say a prayer.

 Then we get up and get back to work. 

Still no one. 

Once we decide to head back I tell Sister Hawes, "don't worry this is just the trial of faith before the miracle". 

And like that we talk to one more person.

She see us and asks "are you guys missionaries?" 

She ends up asking to sit down with us and we teach her about the Book of Mormon! Her name is Au 小姐! We're hoping to keep teaching her, so pray for Au! 

After a long day, we get home and I have about 50 bug bites on my legs.

星期六: Today we were on exchanges so I was out on the Islands with Sister Olsen.

 I wake up and those 50 bug bites have bubbled up into monstrous bubbles of fluid on my legs. Barf. They sing and itch so bad making it difficult to walk. First thing in the morning of our exchange we had a ward activity at a special needs facility.  We went and played games with them and sang songs with them, it was so sweet. The rest of the day my legs were hurting too bad to do much so we just studied in the chapel. We had to unexchange early because we got invited to a member meal! The food was SO good, but I had just taken 2 benadryl for my bubble bites so I was fighting for my life trying to stay awake the whole time. The member meal ended up going late so we didn't get home until 10:30.

星期日: Happy Mothers day! Such a good day, our friend Indi came to church! It was such a miracle! We all got these cute pendants that the primary kids made. 

Overall a good week, minus my bug bites that still look like they're about to explode.

I know this gospel is true! I have seen the light of Christ change people's lives, and it can change yours too! Go to church, pray, read the book of Mormon. You will know it is true by doing these things, and I can promise you that.
