Week 10--Hong Kong
Hello everyone!! I made it to Hong Kong!
Tuesday-Thursday I spent all day traveling. We went fron UT-SanFran-HongKong so like 24 hours total of travel, and I actually got a lot of sleep!
My trainer: My trainer is Sister Hawes! She is a STL which means I go on exchanges all the time with Sister Allen who lives in our apartment. So basically I have 2 trainers. Sister Hawes is so amazing, she's so good at the language and does a good job of filling me in on what's happening. Sister Allen is also so amazing. We always go out finding together and she has NO fear. Literally everyone we see, "what do you think lifes purpose is?" Its honestly so nice and such a good example. She's also hilarious.
Miracles:
This week I met a few of our friends! We had 2 lessons with Yip siu je and her daughter Kay. They're so amazing and the spirit was so strong!
One night Sister Hawes and I were sitting down at the park doing our studies because all of our friends canceled on us, and we get a call. It was Yip siu je! She asked if she could take Kay to the primary activity that night. Sister Hawes and I get up and start BOOKING IT towards the church. We get there and we're able to have our first lesson with her about prayer!
Sister Allen and I were finding one day and going around asking everyone "what do you think the purpose of life is?" And we ended up giving out a Book of Mormon to someone who was really interested! Then right after that as we were walking back to the chapel this group of Philippinos stops me and says "where is your church?". Apparently she was baptized years ago and wants to go back to church! Her along with her friends are now in contact with the English missionaries!
Hong Kong: Hong Kong is so amazing and so beautiful! The food is SO GOOD! Everything keeps reminding of Brazil because its so green and the apartment buildings are so similar! I love is here and I officially have curly hair from the humidity.
I know Hong Kong is where I'm meant to be and these people are the ones I'm meant to serve! As a missionary, we pray CONSTANTLY. Whenever we leave, arive, eat, sleep, wake up, exchanges, each lesson, etc. I have seen a change in my life and a change in me from praying this often. Prayer is how we show our faith to God and He hears us! PRAY! I know when we pray we will be blessed and we will receive blessings!
I love you all so much! Email me!
